Our area, located in the Hart and Muskwa Ranges of the Northern Rockies is just now being discovered by skiers and boarders from all over the world, and is fast becoming known for its most incredible and spectacular snow quality..the Dry, Northern Powder.
Wide open Alpine Ridges and vast bowles surrounded by jagged peaks are waiting for you to carve turns through the sparkling deep champagine powder. These open runs average between 1500 and 3300 vertical feet (650-1000 vertical meters).
For many Heli-Skiers there is nothing to compare to 'tree skiing'. We have discovered deep valleys with naturally well spaced, mature trees and and abundance of snow which will exceed the expectations of the most demanding skiers.
A large number of these runs are only minutes from the lodge and can easily be utilized during poor weather conditions. Our most spectacular tree runs are steep-pitched with over 3700 feet (1100 meters) of vertical..a dream come true for most discriminatry skiers.
In percentages our terrain is 25% gentle, 50% steep and 25% very steep. Remember we have only skied a very small portion of the over 6,000 square kilometers or nearly 3000 square miles of tenured land and expect to develop at the very least 200 more exquisit (sic) and breathtaking runs.
During the 2004 ski season we have developed 149 new runs in the Hart Ranges. We have also ventured onto the western slopes of the Rockies.
During the 2005 ski season we mostly skied the Muskwa
Ranges in our northern area and discovered over 80 outstanding alpine runs.
